Infinistore Virtual Disk -- Optical WORM killer?

This paper compares optical disk drive characteristics to AIT WORM tape technology and expands the comparison to their real environments, which are optical jukeboxes and tape libraries. From there it shifts comparisons to the Infinistore Virtual Disk (IVD), which separates itself from other tape libraries as a single unit that includes hardware, software, and performance enhancing RAID cache.
